Today the European Banking Authority (EBA) has published the results of the stress test conducted jointly by the EBA and the European Central Bank (ECB) covering the largest European banking groups.
In particular, the EBA has published the results of the exercise conducted on the 70 largest EU banking groups (for Italy: Unicredit, Intesa Sanpaolo, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Banco BPM, Mediobanca, BPER, Iccrea, and Cassa Centrale), while the ECB has published information on a further 41 banks subject to the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) that are under its direct supervision but are not included in the EBA sample (for Italy: Popolare di Sondrio, Credito Emiliano, Fineco, and Mediolanum) and the aggregate results for all the significant banks that it directly supervises.
