Research conference on 'Innovation and Finance' - Call for papers
Banca d'Italia, CEPR, and EIEF are pleased to announce a research conference on 'Innovation and Finance', to be held in Rome on December 10-11, 2026.
The conference will bring together leading economists to discuss frontier research on the real and financial drivers of innovation. Particular attention will be devoted to how innovative firms emerge, are financed, and grow, as well as to the conditions that enable them to scale.
The deadline to submit a paper is July 15, 2026.
The keynote speakers are Josh Lerner (Harvard Business School), Ramana Nanda (Imperial College London), and Gelsomina Vigliotti (European Investment Bank).
The organizing committee is composed of: Gaia Dossi (EIEF), Sara Formai (Banca d'Italia), Juanita González-Uribe (LSE), Thomas Hellmann (Saïd Business School, University of Oxford), Claudio Michelacci (EIEF), Marco Pagano (University of Naples Federico II), Julien Sauvagnat (Bocconi University), Fabiano Schivardi (Luiss Guido Carli), Ilaria Supino (Banca d'Italia).
