The report 'Quantum technologies in the banking sector' has been published on CIPA (Convenzione Interbancaria per l’Automazione) website.
The document, which reports the results of the analysis carried out by the CIPA working group, consisting of members of Banca d’Italia, ABI Lab and a number of banking groups, aims to raise awareness in the banking and financial world of the opportunities and risks associated with their advent and to provide a common knowledge base for taking initiatives and launching strategies.
The report illustrates, with an informative approach, the principles of quantum mechanics and its main applications, the ecosystem of quantum technologies, the quantum safety strategies, the impacts and opportunities of quantum technologies with a focus on the implications for the banking sector.
