Paolo Angelini gives the opening speech at the 'Industrial Relations and Labour Market Dynamics' conference

Paolo Angelini, Senior Deputy Governor of Banca d'Italia and President of the Insurance Supervisory Authority (IVASS), opened the 'Industrial Relations and Labour Market Dynamics' conference today, which is being held at the 'Carlo Azeglio Ciampi' Conference Centre.

The event focuses on analysing the major changes currently affecting the world of work, with a view to both ongoing developments and future prospects, including the extension of working lives, the skills required by artificial intelligence, organizational well-being and the role of local areas.

The conference includes a session moderated by Maurizio Decastri, Full Professor of Business Organization at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and features contributions from Mauro Nori (Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Labour), Arturo Maresca (Emeritus Professor of Labour Law), Alessandro Paone (labour lawyer), Franca Maria Alacevich (member of Banca d'Italia's Board of Directors and Honorary Professor of Sociology of Economic and Labour Processes at the University of Florence) and Maria Cristina Cataudella (Full Professor of Labour Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata).

The final session is dedicated to the specific features of industrial relations in the central banking sector; Massimo Doria, Secretary General of Banca d'Italia, and representatives of the SCECBU and UNI Europa trade unions will speak.
