A website called www.bancaditalia.net that improperly uses the name and logo of the Bank of Italy has been detected. The purpose of this site may have been to improperly appropriate credentials (username and password) and/or to conduct phishing campaigns using e-mail addresses such as @bancaditalia.net as the sender.
Please note that the site bears no relation whatsoever to the Bank of Italy nor has it been authorized by it.
To protect internet users, the Bank of Italy CERT has reported the incident to the competent authorities and reserves the right to undertake every other initiative deemed necessary to safeguard its reputation and image. The www.bancaditalia.net site has been blocked and disabled.
