The Board of Directors, acting on a proposal from the Governor, has today nominated Sergio Nicoletti Altimari, currently Managing Director and Director General for Economics, Statistics and Research, as Deputy Governor on the Governing Board.
The nomination, which is made pursuant to Article 18 of the Statute of Banca d'Italia, must be approved by a decree of the President of the Republic, prompted by the President of the Council of Ministers in agreement with the Minister for the Economy and Finance after consulting the Council of Ministers.
