NGFS publishes updated guidance on climate profile disclosure for central banks

The Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), the global network of central banks and supervisory authorities that promotes the sharing of experiences and best practices on climate and environmental risk management in the financial sector, has published a second edition of the Guide on climate-related disclosure for central banks.

This revised edition of the Guide published in 2021, the first of its kind, is based on recent developments in international standards and the experiences of central banks to date. Organised around four thematic areas (governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets), the Guide distinguishes between foundational ('baseline') and complementary ('building block') disclosure recommendations. The updated version also covers disclosure on institutional functions, i.e. monetary policy, supervision and financial stability.
