'Meet the Bank of Italy'

The 'Meet the Bank of Italy' initiative, a cycle of four meetings aimed at raising public awareness of the tasks and functions of Italy's central bank, has just been given a green light. Each meeting will be devoted to a specific theme and will be held at the Bank of Italy's branches located throughout the country.

During the events, which will be open to members of the general public, a panel of experts and journalists will discuss the following issues: Stability in the financial sector and protecting consumers of banking and financial services; Innovation in the payment system, FinTech and crypto assets; Statistics for economic analysis; Monetary policy and maintaining currency stability.
