The Governor has appointed Managing Director, Gian Luca Trequattrini, as Secretary to the Governing Board of the Bank of Italy. In this capacity, he will manage the institutional affairs of the Governing Board. He will assist the Governor and Senior Deputy Governor in drawing up organizational policies and, more generally, operational and management policies, coordinating all the projects assigned to him by the Governing Board. He will coordinate the Bank's safety and security policies and be responsible for the activities of the Secretariat to the Governing Board and of the Communications Directorate. Trequattrini is already in charge of the Ethical Compliance and Anti-Corruption Division and is Data Protection Officer for Banca d'Italia.
