MUDEM inaugurates its first virtual exhibition, 'Le Mille Lire', dedicated to one of the most iconic banknotes in our history.
The exhibition is freely available online and is set in 3D environments borrowed from online video game technologies. Visitors will be able to explore the exhibition as if they were in a physical museum, just using their PC, smartphone or tablet. Using multimedia content, information sheets and 3D images, the exhibition gives us a profound insight into the 1,000 lira notes and the economic, artistic and social background behind this famous banknote, from its first issue to the introduction of the euro.
