In viaggio con Banca d'Italia: a two-day event in Forlì, dedicated to money, innovation and secure payments

On 22 and 23 September 2026, Banca d'Italia's Forlì Branch is hosting the 'Money, innovation and secure payments' initiative, as part 'In viaggio con Banca d'Italia' a programme dedicated to financial education, innovation in payment systems and the protection of citizens.

The event consists of two meetings that are open to the public.

On Tuesday 22 September, at 5.30 p.m., there is a meeting about 'Money, innovation and secure payments' at the former Church of San Giacomo, to look at the evolution of payment instruments, ongoing innovations in the sector and the prospects provided by the digital euro. After the official welcome, there will be a round table with experts from the academic world, the institutions and the payments industry.

On Wednesday 23 September, there is an Open Day on the Bank's activities, held at Banca d'Italia's Forlì Branch. There is a meeting on the same day at 3 p.m. about 'Frauds in electronic payments', to look in depth at the main risks linked to digital fraud and at the prevention and protection tools available to citizens.

All the events are free of charge and open to the public, subject to availability. The Forlì event is part of the Festival del Buon Vivere (Festival of Good Living) programme and is an opportunity to explore issues such as money, financial innovation and payment security, helping to improve people's financial literacy at a time of increasing digitalization in financial services.
