This year, the second seminar of Banca d'Italia annual programme of technical cooperation with central banks of emerging countries is devoted to the operational risk management in central banks.
Starting from Banca d'Italia experience, the seminar will be focusing on the concept of operational risk, its measurement and its management process, including at the Eurosystem level.
Particular attention will be devoted to the analysis of practical experiences, with specific regard to the fields of cash management, IT and internal audit. Aspects related to the business continuity will also be presented. To stimulate discussion, a case study on the management of an operational incident will be proposed to seminar participants.
Presentations will be given by Banca d'Italia experts; furthermore, some guests will present their countries' experiences, in order to foster the exchange of views on various national perspectives.
Participants are representatives from central banks of new EU member states, EU candidates and potential candidates, countries included in the EU neighbourhood policy and other emerging economies.
Participation in the international cooperation seminars of Banca d'Italia is by invitation only and is reserved to central banks.
