The Level 3 Biosafety Laboratory (BSL3) and the new animal research facility, established thanks to the contribution of the Bank of Italy, was inaugurated in Rome at the Italian National Institute of Health.
Ignazio Visco, Governor of the Bank of Italy, who spoke together with Daniele Franco, the Finance Minister, Roberto Speranza, the Health Minister and Silvio Brusaferro, President of the Italian National Institute of Health, underlined the hope that this contribution, together with the others already made by the Bank of Italy in 2020, will help to improve the responsiveness of the Italian National Health System. Looking ahead, innovation and research are crucial for overcoming the emergency and returning to a path of growth.
