G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' meeting in Bonn

The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors concluded their meeting today in Bonn. Italy was represented by Daniele Franco, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Ignazio Visco, Governor of the Bank of Italy. The meeting covered both the current emergencies and long-term economic and fiscal policy issues.

The joint effort to support Ukraine following the Russian invasion was the leading issue on the agenda, which also included macroeconomic stability, debt management, the digitalization of the economy and the policies to combat climate change and promote recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

Governor Visco discussed these issues further with the Italian journalists that were in Bonn and during interviews with national and international TV networks.
