Financial Cryptography in Rome 2026 (FCiR26)

Banca d'Italia, in in collaboration with De Cifris, is organizing the Financial Cryptography in Rome 2026 (FCiR26) conference on 6 October 2026. The event brings together academics and experts from central banks and national and international institutions to present recent developments in cryptographic techniques applied to the financial sector. This year's topics include the transition to post-quantum cryptography, quantum risks for public blockchains, and encryption techniques for privacy protection in the public sector.

Giuseppe Zingrillo, Director General for Information Technology, delivered the welcome address.
