On April 14, the final of the 2024/2025 edition of the 'Generation €uro Students' Award' was held at Banca d'Italia's headquarters. Students from the two final years of secondary school took part in the competition.
This initiative aims to promote economic and financial culture and deepen knowledge of Banca d'Italia's institutional role and functions.
The three finalist teams, each composed of 4 or 5 students and a teacher, belong to the following schools:
- Istituto di Istruzione Superiore G. Baruffi, in Ceva (CN)
- ISISS Marco Minghetti, in Legnago (VR)
- Istituto Omnicomprensivo Salvatorelli-Moneta, in Marsciano (PG)
The teams' task was to simulate making a monetary policy decision based on the current economic framework.
The team from Istituto di Istruzione Superiore G. Baruffi of Ceva, formed by Rossella Aschero, Alice Costa, Sandro Quaglia, Emanuele Sasia and Elisabetta Siri, with their teacher, Marilena Pennacino, won the final.
Alessandra Staderini, Head of Banca d'Italia's Communications Directorate, presented the winners with their certificates of merit and the other finalists with certificates of participation.
