Fabio Panetta to be Governor of the Bank of Italy as of 1 November 2023

Sergio Mattarella, the President of the Republic, has signed the decree to appoint Fabio Panetta as Governor of the Bank of Italy, as of 1 November 2023.

The appointment of the Governor is enacted by means of a decree issued by the President of the Republic, acting on a proposal from the President of the Council of Ministers following the adoption of a resolution by the Council of Ministers, and after hearing the opinion of the Bank of Italy's Board of Directors.
