Today the conference on 'Cyber resilience of the Italian financial system: the role of TIBER-IT tests' was held at the Bank of Italy's Milan regional branch and promoted by the Bank of Italy. Luigi Cannari, Head of the Directorate General for Markets and Payment Systems gave his opening remarks.
Industry authorities, financial intermediaries and providers of cybersecurity services discussed the new framework for conducting TIBER-IT tests, which was published last August by the Bank of Italy, CONSOB and IVASS.
The three authorities stressed the importance of these tests for strengthening the digital operational resilience of individual players and of the financial sector as a whole, in light of the growing cyber threat and within/under the framework of the forthcoming EU rules on the digital operational resilience of the financial sector (DORA).
