Digital euro: sixth progress report on the Digital Euro Rulebook published

The European Central Bank (ECB) has published the sixth progress report on the work to draft the Digital Euro Rulebook, which defines the scheme for the digital euro. The document sets out common standards and procedures to ensure the uniform provision of digital euro services. The report covers activities carried out between 30 October 2025 and April 2026.

Alongside the progress report, version 0.91 of the Rulebook was also published. This update took six months to draft and incorporates the over 4,000 comments, submitted during the open market consultation held between July and October 2025.

This updated version of the Rulebook is interim, allowing it to be adapted to the provisions of the future Digital Euro Regulation.
