Under its technical cooperation activities, the Bank of Italy, together with the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA) and the World Bank, co-organises the conference on macro-prudential policies that will take place on June 20-21 2013 at CEMLA´s headquarters, in México City.
The conference will be focusing on the determinant of systemic risk and financial cycles, financial stability and external imbalances and the interaction of the macro-prudential policy with other policy areas. Special attention will be devoted to the World Bank report on "Reserve Requirements as a Stabilization Tool".
The goal of the conference is to foster an open debate among academics, international institutions and policymakers with an interest on financial stability.
