Conference on '28° Regime, EU Inc. and Other Attempts to Unify Company Law'
On 12 November, the Carlo Azeglio Ciampi Conference Centre will host a conference entitled '28° Regime, EU Inc. and Other Attempts to Unify Company Law'. The event will be held in English and will only be open to in-person attendance.
The conference will focus primarily on the recent proposal for an EU regulation establishing a 28th regime and introducing EU Inc. The proposal seeks to create a uniform company law framework that businesses may choose as an alternative to national legal regimes, with a view to simplifying company formation and supporting the cross-border growth of businesses within the Single Market.
Representatives from public institutions, academia, and the business community will discuss the proposal's main legal and economic aspects. The four sessions will examine the key features of the new regulatory framework, its expected economic impact, the relationship between company law and venture capital, and the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Limited Liability Enterprises.
The conference is open to all interested participants. Registrations may be submitted by Monday, 9 November, by email to CSL.SeminariGiuridici@bancaditalia.it.
