€-coin picks up in August but remains negative

The €-coin indicator remained negative for the seventh consecutive month in August, though it improved compared with the previous month (to -0.34, from -0.56 in July).

€-coin was driven by the fall in producer prices and the recovery in some demand indicators, which offset the deterioration in household and business confidence.
