€-coin indicator: May 2013

The €-coin indicator fell slightly in May, from -0.10% to -0.15%, the first decrease since August 2012.

Contributory factors included the weak signals regarding foreign trade and the performance of GDP in the first quarter of 2013. These were offset in part by the indications provided by household and business opinion surveys, which were broadly less unfavourable.
