Banca d'Italia to present its new Statistics Portal
Banca d'Italia is presenting its new Statistics Portal, a tool designed to make access to the Bank's wealth of information simpler, more immediate and more inclusive through the use of interactive tools.
The portal brings together the contents of the 'Statistics' series and the Research Data Center's microdata, which are currently available on the institutional website. The online Statistical Database (BDS) is still Banca d'Italia's public data warehouse.
The Statistics Portal will help to strengthen Banca d'Italia's commitment to circulating official economic and financial statistics, making them increasingly accessible and readily available for consultation and in-depth analysis.
The presentation is in conjunction with the Italian and European Statistics Day. This year's European edition is dedicated to the theme of 'European Statistics at a crossroads: priorities, opportunities and constraints'. Ensuring impartial, accurate and reliable statistics continues to be a fundamental mission for central banks. However, in a context characterized by increasingly abundant and complex data, it is equally essential that these data are easily accessible, understandable and available to a broad and diverse range of users.
