Banca d'Italia takes part in the 2025 edition of 'è cultura!'

Banca d'Italia is taking part in the 'è cultura!' national festival  again this year, opening the doors of its buildings to the public to highlight the connection between the institution, local communities and citizens. This is a unique opportunity to explore places that are rich in history, art and memories, because culture is a shared resource.

Admission is free and by reservation only.

The festival is promoted by ABI and Acri and will take place from 11 to 18 October 2025, involving banks and banking foundations across Italy.

Cultural events promoted by Banca d'Italia

As part of the 'è cultura!' festival, Banca d'Italia is promoting three special events:

  • The 'Form and Trust. Coins from Italy and all over the World' Exhibition, scheduled for 18 October 2025, at the Banca d'Italia branch in Bari.
    The exhibition has been organized in collaboration with MUDEM - Museo della Moneta project, the Superintendencies for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Bari and the provinces of Barletta, Andria and Trani (BAT) and Foggia, and the Fondazione Archeologica Canosina, and explores the symbolic, economic and cultural value of money.

  • 'Art, the Economy and Institutions. Investing in Beauty: Strategies, Impacts and Shared Responsibilities', scheduled for 14 October 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, at Palazzo Dolfin Manin (Venice).
    This event offers reflections on the role of beauty as a strategic lever for sustainable development and social cohesion, with the participation of Banca d'Italia and other institutional stakeholders.
  • 'Futurist Echoes at the Salone Margherita. From the Theatre of Surprise to the Works in Banca d'Italia's Collection', scheduled for 11 October 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Salone Margherita (Rome).
    This evening event is dedicated to Futurism and the centenary of the Theatre of Surprise, and blends art, music, theatre and historical memory to evoke the provocative spirit of Futurist performances and explore the connection between Futurism and Banca d'Italia's art collection.

New sections and multimedia spaces to promote cultural and artistic heritage

Banca d'Italia has launched two new sections on its institutional website dedicated to its cultural heritage:

  • Exhibitions and Events shows the artistic and cultural initiatives promoted by the Bank;
  • Museums and Visits provides practical information on how to access Banca d'Italia's public spaces, including details on visiting procedures and reservations.

Two new multimedia spaces are now available, one dedicated to videos and the other to photos, designed to offer the public visual and narrative materials that tell the story and present Banca d'Italia's art and identity in an accessible and easy-to-navigate format.
