Banca d'Italia takes part in Global Money Week
Global Money Week (GMW) is the annual OECD event to raise awareness among young people (starting from preschool age) about the importance of acquiring the knowledge, skills and habits that will help them make financial decisions that are consistent with their needs and means.
Since its launch in 2012, the initiative has reached over 70 million young people in 176 countries.
The 2026 edition of Global Money Week will run from 16 to 22 March 2026. In Italy, it will be coordinated by the Committee for the Planning and Coordination of Financial Education Activities.
This year's GMW theme is 'Smart Money Talks'.
Once again, Banca d'Italia will contribute to Global Money Week with around 200 educational workshops in schools across Italy, designed to introduce financial topics to girls and boys in a simple and engaging way.
