Today, Banca d'Italia publishes a compendium of national and European laws and regulations on the protection of banking and financial customers, on the rights and obligations of the parties involved in payment services transactions, and on alternative dispute resolution. All of the legal instruments are fully searchable online, will be kept up to date and are sorted by topic, accompanied by a brief description of their contents. The purpose of this initiative is to make the vast body of laws on this topic easily accessible to everyone, in keeping with the consumer protection policies set out in Banca d'Italia's Strategic Plan.
