Banca d'Italia joins the European Researchers' Night 2026

Banca d'Italia will take part in the European Researchers' Night 2026, a flagship event of Science Week, which will run from 21 to 27 September 2026. The initiative is promoted by the European Commission and examines the future of the planet, with a view to fostering dialogue between citizens and the scientific community. It is coordinated by the Frascati Scienza association.

Banca d'Italia will contribute with two public talks to be held at the Frascati Town Hall:

From 5.00 pm to 10.30 pm on Thursday 24 September, Banca d'Italia's Donato Menichella Centre in Frascati will be open to the public, with exhibitions, interactive activities, seminars and guided tours focused on environmental sustainability, technological innovation, economics and finance.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore topics including sustainable mobility, banknote sustainability, the digital euro, the energy transition, statistics for the economy and sustainability, and digital infrastructures.

The evening will conclude with a musical performance.

Attendance is free, but online registration is required by 10.00 am on 23 September 2026, subject to availability. Access to the Centre will be allowed until 8.30 pm.
