Banca d'Italia joins the European Researchers' Night 2025
Banca d'Italia is taking part in the European Researchers' Night, a flagship event of Science Week, which runs from 21 to 28 September. The initiative is promoted by the European Commission and dedicated to the future of the planet, and aims to foster dialogue between citizens and the scientific community. It is being coordinated by the Frascati Scienza association.
Banca d'Italia will contribute with a programme of talks and outreach activities to be held at the Frascati Town Hall:
- 23 September, 9:00 - 10:30: Quantum physics and computer science
- 23 September, 11:00 - 12:30: The money of the future
- 24 September, 11:00 - 12:30: Climate and environmental risks for the economy and finance
On the evening of Wednesday 24 September, Banca d'Italia's Donato Menichella Centre in Frascati (Largo Guido Carli, 1) will be open to the public from 17:00 to approximately 22:30, providing exhibition spaces and interactive activities focused on Banca d'Italia's environmental commitment, official statistics, banknote sustainability, counterfeit banknote detection, sustainable mobility, the future of money and the Bank's Green Data Centre.
Visitors will also be able to join guided tours of the artworks housed in the Centre, the 'Data Detox: a healthier and more aware digital self' exhibition and the banknote sorting equipment of the CDM Branch.
The evening will conclude with a musical performance.
Only 500 people can take part and online registration is required. Bookings will close at 16:00 on the day before the event. Access to the Centre will be allowed until 20:30.
