Banca d'Italia - Change in the Governing Board

The Governor and the Board of Directors of Banca d'Italia took note at today's meeting of the intention of Luigi Federico Signorini, Senior Deputy Governor, to leave office early.

At the same meeting, the Board of Directors, acting on a proposal by the Governor, appointed Paolo Angelini, currently Deputy Governor, as Senior Deputy Governor and Gian Luca Trequattrini, currently Secretary to the Governing Board, as Deputy Governor.

The nominations were made in accordance with Article 18 of the Statute of Banca d'Italia and will come into force upon approval by Presidential Decree, sponsored jointly by the President of the Council of Ministers and the Minister for Economy and Finance, having consulted the Council of Ministers.
