Conference on "Macroeconomic Modelling in Times of Uncertainty"

Banca d’Italia will host the conference 'Macroeconomic Modelling in Times of Uncertainty’, which will bring together economists from academia and leading central banks to discuss the frontiers of macroeconomic modelling in a context marked by recurrent shocks, persistent uncertainty, and non-linear risks.

The conference offers an important opportunity to reflect on issues at the heart of today's monetary policy, including:

  • Measuring uncertainty and macro-financial risks
  • Non-linearities and asymmetries in the transmission of shocks
  • Dynamic factor models and real-time indicators
  • The role of sentiment and expectations in macroeconomic fluctuations
  • New econometric methods for scenario analysis and forecasting.
