Banca d'Italia and SUERF - The European Money and Finance Forum will host a joint conference on Inflation, Inflation Expectations, and Policy: New Perspectives, to be held in Rome on November 18-19, 2024.
The conference will focus, among other things, on the determinants of the rise and fall of inflation in the post-pandemic period, the effects of a fast-changing inflation environment on economic agents' behaviour and expectations, and the challenges for policymakers/monetary and fiscal policy.
The event will provide a platform for academic researchers and representatives of central banks and other institutions to discuss these highly relevant topics.
Philip R. Lane (ECB) will give the SUERF Marjolin Lecture, and Pierpaolo Benigno (University of Bern) and Michael Weber (Chicago Booth I SUERF Fellow) will give the keynote speeches.
Scientific committee: Marianna Riggi, Tiziano Ropele, Alex Tagliabracci (Banca d'Italia) and Ernest Gnan (SUERF).
