The Long-Term Investors @UniTo initiative and the Directorate General for the Economy, Statistics and Research of the Bank of Italy organize the 3rd Research Workshop "Long-term investor trends: theory and practice". The event will take place, in hybrid mode, on 11 July 2022 at the Bank of Italy, in Rome (Italy).

The workshop brings together researchers and practitioners working on long-term investor trends, both from a theoretical and empirical perspective, to discuss research papers and agendas. It aims to foster interactions between economists and professionals.

The workshop will begin with a general introduction by the Deputy Director General Paolo Angelini (Bank of Italy) and by Prof. Pietro Garibaldi (LTI@UniTO).

Prof Giannetti (Stockholm School of Economics) will hold a speech on financial intermediaries and externalities. In the following three sessions leading lecturers and researchers will present original contributions on long-term investors, the challenge in the new investment landscape and the implications of the ESG paradigm for long-term investors. All presentations will be discussed by an expert.

In the afternoon Magda Bianco (Bank of Italy) will moderate a panel with sector specialists on the challenges of the rapidly evolving investment landscape, inflation, geopolitical risks and the exit from accommodative policies. The speakers are Silvana Chilelli (Eurizon), Andrea Filtri (Mediobanca), Dario Focarelli (ANIA), Giovanni Siciliano (UNIPOL).
