On Wednesday 10 March 2021, representatives from G20 members, guest countries and international organizations gathered virtually for the first Framework Working Group Seminar organized under the Italian G20 Presidency. The topic of the seminar was the role of the monetary-fiscal policy mix in supporting the recovery. Professor Francesco Bianchi, from Duke University, opened the Seminar by delivering a speech, based on his extensive research, illustrating the fundamentals of the monetary and fiscal nexus, with special attention to the current juncture and to challenges in the near future.
