On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March, on the occasion of the Spring Open Days organized by the Fondo Ambiente Italiano (FAI), the Bank of Italy will open to the public:
- the Palermo Branch (via Cavour 131/A) from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
- the Milan Branch (via Cordusio, 5) from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. The interactive exhibition the Ideas behind the Banknote will also be open to the public. Visitors may discover the secrets of the new €50 banknote and learn more about printing technologies, the banknote’s new features and safeguards against counterfeiting. The exhibition includes a section showing the entries of the students who took part in the second school competition ‘Let’s invent a banknote’ promoted by the Bank of Italy and the Ministry of Education.
