Inauguration of the Interactive exhibition for the 60th Anniversary of the Treaties of Rome

As part of the events for the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome and the new €50 banknote, which will enter into circulation on 4 April 2017, the Bank of Italy has organized an exhibition 'The Ideas behind the Banknote' which will open this Friday, 24 March, at 3:30 pm, with opening remarks by Valeria Sannucci, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy.

Visitors to the multimedia installation are invited to discover the secrets of the banknotes through a sophisticated interactive experience. The exhibition also includes a section displaying the entries of the students who took part in the 3rd edition of the banknote design competition focusing on the theme of diversity, in tune with the European Union's motto 'united in diversity'.

The exhibition will be hosted in Rome at Villa Huffer, Via Nazionale 191, and will be open to the public daily from 10 am to 7 pm.
