The intent of the seminar - organized in Rome as part of the annual programme of technical cooperation with central banks of emerging countries - was to provide an overview of recent Eurosystem initiatives implemented by the Bank in the cash management field to meet the new requests and challenges of an evolving environment. Topics discussed included professional customer services and the control over the recycling of banknotes; particular attention was also given to the management of counterfeit banknotes.
