In the framework of its annual programme of cooperation with Central banks of emerging economies, the Bank of Italy has organized a seminar in Rome on monetary policy implementation.
The seminar was focused on the turmoil in money and financial markets, which has presented central banks around the world with unprecedented challenges.
It aimed to provide participants with an overview of the response adopted by the Eurosystem for the smooth provision of liquidity to market participants and for the effective conduct of monetary policy. Within this framework, particular attention was devoted to the Bank of Italy's recent initiatives to support money markets' liquidity.
