The Banca d'Italia survey of inflation and growth expectations has been conducted since 1999 (the survey was conducted in collaboration with the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore until the third quarter of 2018).
The sample comprises about 800 companies with 50 or more employees, operating in industry excluding construction and in services. Starting in the first quarter of 2013, the survey has been extended to construction firms with at least 50 workers.
Data is gathered in March, June, September and December.
The main results are summarised in a specific issue of the 'Statistics' series.
A remote execution system called REX is available that allows authorized users to process survey data remotely.
