The Bank of Italy publishes quarterly data on the stocks and flows of Italy’s assets and liabilities classified by institutional sector (non financial corporations, households, general government, financial corporations, and rest of the world) and by financial instrument, in order of liquidity based on the original maturity and negotiability (from cash and deposits to insurance and pension instruments).
The compilation criteria are reported in “Italy’s Financial accounts” manual in the “Analysis and Methodology” section.
