The Bank of Italy publishes monthly information on issues and yields of securities. Given the characteristics of the Italian financial market, the majority of the data relates to public securities.
The information is classified into three sets: statistics on gross and net issues, redemptions and stocks of debt securities; information on yields and turnover in the Electronic bond market (MOT), a segment of the Italian Stock Exchange dedicated to retail trading of government bonds; information on the turnover in the electronic market for government securities (MTS, a wholesale market), on the average residual maturity and duration of the securities, on the yields of benchmark government securities, on monthly Treasury bills yields.
