The Italian Payments Committee began its work in 2015. Over its first two years of activity it has addressed a variety of issues, such as the completion of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), regulatory developments and the opportunities for payment systems presented by the evolution of society and the digital economy.

The initiatives undertaken by the Committee are described in its Annual Reports.
