In recent years, there has been growing awareness that an inclusive work environment, where the differences and characteristics of people are valued, broadens perspectives, promotes innovative and flexible approaches to problem solving and improves organizational well-being, while strengthening the business and better serving the institutional tasks.

Banca d'Italia firmly believes that diversity is a strategic value and is committed to its promotion, which is why it has appointed a Diversity Manager and created a Diversity Unit within the Human Resource Department.

This webinar illustrates the strategy and the numerous initiatives in place within the Bank, also in cooperation with our Equal Opportunities Commission and other internal bodies, as well as with the ECB and other ESCB central banks.

It aims to disseminate information and best practices on how to promote inclusion and manage diversity vis-à-vis underrepresented, minority and disadvantaged groups (e.g. based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disabilities and age).

Participants are expected to take an active part in the discussions and contribute their own experience to peer-to-peer exchange.
