We have been informed that there have been some attempts to wrongfully obtain personal data (phishing) via an e-mail apparently sent from a Bank of Italy address, email@bancaditalia.it, with 'Notifica del contratto' in the subject line and a malicious email attachment.
Please note that neither the sender nor the text of the email with the attachment are in any way authorized by the Bank of Italy.
In order to protect the public, the Bank of Italy has filed a report with the competent authorities, and reserves the right to further protect its interests and image as necessary.
