Yesterday, 12 May, the Governor, after consulting the other members of the Governing Board, decided the following appointments:
- Salvatore Rossi, Secretary General also charged to carry out the Bank's communication and institutional relations. He was also appointed special advisor to the Governing Board on matters of economic policy;
- Umberto Proia, Managing Director responsible for Property and Purchasing;
- Daniele Franco, Managing Director responsible for Economic Research and International Relations;
- Fabio Panetta, Managing Director responsible for coordinating the activities connected with the Bank's participation in the Eurosystem and analysis and documentation concerning Italian financial stability;
- Marino Ottavio Perassi, Chief Legal Advisor;
- Vieri Ceriani, Managing Director charged with representing the Bank at home and abroad on tax matters. He is also responsible for the quality of services to the public.
