Salvatore Rossi, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy, gave a lecture at the Bank of Russia on 2 April entitled “Towards a European Banking Union: a euro-area central bank supervisor as a first step”. On the following day he reprised this theme in an introductory address at a seminar held in Moscow State University on “Financial regulation and supervision in Europe and in Russia”.
