On 19 March 2011, Deputy Director General Anna Maria Tarantola gave an address entitled "Regulatory and control scenarios: opportunities and costs for the banking and financial industry" on the occasion of the conference organized in Perugia by the Associazione per lo sviluppo degli Studi di Banca e Borsa in conjunction with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
