The workshop aims at discussing recent papers and data building initiatives in the field of measuring and analyzing the performance of the Italian school system, including some analysys about the functioning of the teachers labour market.
Most of the papers are based upon the work conducted in the Bank of Italy and in Invalsi, with the collaboration of the Statistical Office of the Italian Ministry of Education.
Participants to the workshop are expert either in the measurement and assessment of students' achievements or in the economic and statistical analysis of the schools' performance and its determinants.
The workshop will be conducted in Italian, even if some of the papers are written in English. Participation is by invitation only: people wishing to participate to the workshop have to send a request to alessandra.piccinini@bancaditalia.it.
