The bibliographic databases listed below allow search by topic or by keywords and in some cases give access to the full text.

  • Econlit - American Economic Association
    This database contains bibliographic information, supplemented with abstracts, on international literature on economics from 1969 (articles from journals, chapters from collective works, working papers, doctoral theses and reviews). The library has full text access to journals to which it subscribes (Smartlink).
  • The Economist Historical Archive - Gale Cengage Learning
    The archive comprises all the weekly back issues from 1843 to 2003, as well as the supplements, special reports and surveys. There is a full text search option and users can export the statistical data to Excel.
  • EJS - Ebsco
    This database contains bibliographic information and the full text of articles from 10,000 interdisciplinary periodicals. The Library has access to approximately 450 American and British journals on economic and financial matters, information technology and management. The time period covered by the collection of each periodical depends on the individual subscriptions and on the various publishers' commercial policies. Searches also include words contained in the full texts of articles, where available.
  • Emerald ManagementXtra - Emerald
    This database contains bibliographic information, supplemented with abstracts, on business and management literature (full text articles taken from 150 journals and more than 1,500 reviews of works related to this subject, taken from a further 300 periodicals). Searches also include words contained in the full texts of articles.
  • Heinonline - William S. Hein & Co
    The archive enables users to search and browse articles from over 1,000 international legal periodicals - available in full and in PDF format - starting from the first issue and excluding, in some cases, the current year. It includes the international treaties and agreements drawn up by the USA, Supreme Court rulings, records of actions in the Federal Register since1936 and the English Reports Full Reprint (1220-1865). The Legal Classics Library contains over 1,200 works by famous jurists, including Joseph Story, Louis Brandeis, Benjamin N. Cardozo and Edward Coke.
  • JSTOR - Mellon Foundation
    This archive contains digital copies of the main international academic journals. The Library has access to the Economics, Mathematics and Statistics and Art and Science IV collections, in which approximately 130 periodicals are reproduced, from the first issue published. The last volume available for each periodical will be between 2 and 5 years old. Searches also include words contained in the full texts of articles.
  • Making of the Modern World
    This archive contains Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature and the Seligman Collection, 1851-1900. Over 11 million pages have been digitized and can be searched by author, title, date or words in the full text. The first part of the archive consists of digital facsimile images of works published between 1450 and 1850 from the Goldsmiths'-Kress Collection, including monographs, serials, political pamphlets and government publications on economics and social science. The second part consists of the Seligman Collection, which takes up where the first part ended with works published after 1850 from the vast library of US economist Edwin Robert A. Seligman (1861-1939). The two collections, which cover almost five centuries, reproduce over 64,000 volumes and about 470 periodicals on more than 4,700 reels of microfilm.
  • Rivisteweb - Il Mulino
    This database contains the complete text of articles from economics, social science, historical, philosophical, law and cultural journals published by Il Mulino starting from 1997. For the economics journals only, searches include words contained in the full texts of articles.
  • Sciencedirect - Elsevier
    This database contains the full text of articles from journals published by Elsevier. The Library has access to the complete text of approximately 60 periodicals from the mid-1990s and to the electronic versions of previous years (backfiles) of the Business, Management & Accounting and Economics & Finance collections.
  • Springerlink - Springer
    This database contains bibliographic information and the full text of articles published by Springer in 1,847 periodicals. The Library has access to approximately 60 journals available in full from the first issue published (Online Journal Archive) and to more than 50 other journals from 1997 to the present (Business and Economics Collection).
  • Westlaw International - Thomson
    The archive provides access to legislation and the records of the main common law countries: US, UK, Australia, Canada and Hong Kong, in addition to EU regulations and case law. It includes the main international legal journals, agency news and periodical press reports. Only the sections subscribed for may be accessed in full.
