The Bank of Italy receives ISO 9001:2015 certification for its central procurement service

As part of its efforts to constantly improve the management of its property and its tenders for works, services and goods, the Bank of Italy has acquired UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification for its central procurement service, issued by the accredited certifying agency DNV-GL Business Assurance, one of the world’s leading certifiers.

This achievement is the latest step in the process begun in 2014 with the launch of the ISO 9001-compliance management system and is a confirmation of the Directorate General for Property and Tenders’s institutional commitment to investing in a culture of quality, process innovation and dedication to meeting users’ and stakeholders’ expectations.

The Bank’s decision to obtain recognition of the compliance of its centralized procurement management system with the most recent version of the ISO 9001 standard was voluntary, as a means to continue improving the quality, efficiency and transparency of its procurement procedures.
